Pray October – eq Days of Scripture, Reflection and Prayer

Day 1: **Prayer for Guidance**

Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

How have we trusted? Do we trust in times of prayer only to leave the prayer room and go back to our old ways, ideas, and sinfulness. With an understanding of pray being speaking to Father, listening to the Holy Spirit, and trusting in the words of Jesus. We should leave each moment of prayer radically and completely changes.

In the Garden, Adam and Eve sinned and then they hid from God, or at least tried to. They didn’t trust in what God had promised them and the will of God for all humanity to be in an adulterer relationship with the author and finisher of life. Adam and Eve together chose a different path that also has affected all of history.

I am fully understanding as I write this what it is to trust. For the last couple of years I have been trusting in God to show a better way in regards to revival, I believe that way has been made clear. Now all we have to do is follow. I sit at this time in Emergency Room with Gail who has been dealing with sickness the last couple of weeks. We have tried our way, now it’s time to try another way.

Here is where trusting is clear, when we set our eyes on the path that God has guided us to. Follow that path and the way will become straight.   Pray for those areas in your life that needed to be straightened to conform to God’s will. Prayer:** Lord, help me trust in You with all my heart and not rely on my understanding. Guide my path and make my way straight.
