Open the Window – Look Out – And See – Morning Devotional

And It Shall Come to Pass – Devotionals
To See New Beginnings – Open the Widow
Prepared by Pastor Calvin Cook

Genesis 8:6 – “And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:”

Noah was faithful to the instructions that God had revealed. Noah did something that had never been done before and has since that time become a pillar of faithfulness and living out the call placed on his life. Genesis 8:6 is just a very short snippet of the story of faithfulness and realizing that when the dangerous flood waters has subsided it is then that we must look for the beginning. Noah opened up the widow and became assured of the sending out of the raven and the dove that it would be safe to move forward. Always keeping in mind and heart at God’s direction and God’s plan for his life.

Each day and through each crisis we should embrace the same objectives as Noah did. First and foremost, to always be faithful and to trust to God. Secondly when we have faith and trust and are willing to listen God will not bring us to more danger but to rescue. But it will require our faithfulness and commitment to God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Though we are caught up in the midst of the floods of life there is hope. Search for it! Pray for it! Listen to God’s plan to be rescued! The caution is Satan does not want you to know this, will throw every roadblock and negative thought at you. But continue to keep your heart and mind centered on the will and glory of God and you will see a brighter and better day. Will it be easy? No ! Will it take hard work and perseverance? Yes ! Will you make it? Yes, by trusting in and believing in and listening to the power of God intersecting with our lives.

Open the window of your soul and see what God is has done, is doing, and will do in the minutes and days ahead.
