MOVING FORWARD and SCRAMBLED EGGS

Isaiah 43:18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
This morning there were two very serious thoughts that came to mind first thing. One was what I have been hearing from the Holy Spirit the need to move on. Thou I might not be speaking about a physical move I certainly hear the Spirit saying to move from the things that were meant to destroy you to the new thing that the Holy Spirit is trying to convince all of us to move into and away from which was meant to destroy us.
Secondly on my mind was Fiesta Eggs. There is this local restaurant that I like to go to and always order the same thing, Fiesta Eggs. They are simply just scrambled eggs with cheese, served with salsa and sour cream. I really love these eggs and was craving them this morning. Then it hit me, I had everything to prepare here and so that was breakfast. Thou they might not be the same they were really good. Again, the lesson, moving from what you were use to doing to a new thing or a new way of doing something that pleases. I didn’t have to go anywhere, pay anything, I just had to do it!
WoW ! What great lessons. We already have everything that we need whether it be the new thing we are praying for, thinking about, in our life; God has supplied through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit what we need. We just have to receive. We have to do it ! Move forward that it. Try something new. Make it happen. All of this of course under the Holy Spirit’s leading. God has to be in it for it to be a success.
I shared with you one of my favorite scriptures. This scripture is written on my heart. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about. Yet I get sucked into the routine of everyday and remain stuck even floundering at times. This pours out into all areas of my life, but it doesn’t have to be. I just need that focus of the new thing that God is calling me all to.
I really truly believe that God has a bigger plan and purpose for all of us, but we are going to have to move into it and receive it. Keeping in mind Joseph. Did Joseph quit when he realized his brothers hated him, did he die in a pit of despair, give into seduction, rot in prison, forsake care for his family. No – he took the new thing that God was doing in his circumstances and despair and allowed God to do something beautiful. And it will happen with all of us – if we allow it to happen.
Peace to all of you today.
