Key Verse: “I have redeemed you.” (Isaiah 43:1)

This morning for me and the one who needs to hear : This is what I am hearing the Holy Spirit speak “Don’t get to far away that you can’t remember who you are.”

I recently had someone confess that they had ended up in a dark spiritual place. Feeling beat down, hurting, struggling and searching for answers and to why they had ended up in this place. The conversation continued that their life had been lost through a series of drug addiction, bad relationships, bad decisions, health and mental illness most brought on by a sinful lifestyle. The person said that they were so far from God and what was important that they didn’t think they could ever return.

I talked for a long while and shared I believed that the opening words of Isaiah 43 reminds of that regardless of where we find ourselves, what troubles we are caught up in, that God is still there. Reminding us that wherever we are – Jesus is anxiously welcoming us back or for first timers into that never ending relationship, we just have to receive it.

Redemption is costly, yet God paid the ultimate price through Jesus’ death. His sacrifice wasn’t just for humanity—it was for you personally. He redeemed you out of love, to draw you close and set you free from sin.

I have been redeemed, my friend has been redeemed, you have been redeemed, all who hear and give answer to God’s calling can and will be redeemed. The road to redemption is a tough and hard journey but we have a God, through the power of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit each unique in their care is with us, calling us into a complete loving relationship.

How about you? How can we enter into prayer, relationship, community to walk together on this journey. It calls for us to be available to that which is important, that which will bring us back to the place we truly need to be.

Praying : Keep speaking to me Lord, draw back to you, to the place I need to be, and when I leave your care and forsake your love, forgive me – Lord – In Jesus name I will seek forgiveness and to experience redemptive power – Amen.

Reflection: Spend time thanking Jesus for the price He paid to redeem you. How does His love impact how you view yourself and others?
