Restore Me – God’s Healing Grace
Pastor Calvin Cook

Scripture:
“He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” — Psalm 23:3
“‘For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal,’ declares the Lord.” — Jeremiah 30:17
This morning my heart is turned toward those who need healing—healing of mind, of body, and of soul. Perhaps that includes you, someone you love, or someone quietly suffering nearby. Our God is the God who restores. Not partially, not reluctantly, but fully and faithfully.
When David prayed, “He restores my soul,” he wasn’t speaking as one who had never walked through valleys—he was speaking as one who had. Restoration is not for the unbroken; it is for those who know they need the Shepherd to make them whole again.
Maybe your body feels tired…
Maybe your mind is overwhelmed…
Maybe your soul feels bruised by disappointment, fear, or grief.
The Lord sees every part of your hurting. He understands wounds others do not see and burdens no one else knows. The God who created you has never stopped caring for you, and He speaks into your morning today: “I will restore you.”
Restoration often happens slowly—like a dawn that breaks gradually across the horizon. Sometimes it comes suddenly—like a word that lifts the spirit or a moment where peace settles in. But in every case, God is the One who begins the work and the One who completes it.
So today we pray: Restore us, Lord. Restore the weary mind with Your peace.
Restore the broken body with Your strength. Restore the wounded soul with Your love. Restore hope where it has dimmed, joy where it has faded, and faith where it feels weak.
We place ourselves in Your healing hands. Do the work only You can do. Amen
