Keep Me From the Hands of the Wicked –

I have been praying through some difficult seasons and times. Not only for myself but for others. I constantly hear “I am in trouble” “I need help” “I need to get it together”. All very viable confessions that deserve a response in our prayer life.

I was guided to Psalm 140 and one specific one line prayer
“Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from the violent, who devise ways to trip my feet.” — Psalm 140:4

And so I have prepared this prayer and ask you to join with me in praying for all of us –

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Keep me from the hands of the wicked.
Guard my heart, my mind, and my steps from those who seek harm or deception. Protect me from the traps laid in secret and from the schemes that try to cause me to stumble.

Place Your hand of protection over my life, my family, my church, and the work You have called me to do.

When the path feels uncertain, steady my feet. When voices of discouragement rise, remind me that You are my defender.

Lord, surround me with Your presence and lead me in righteousness and truth.

I trust that You see every situation, and that Your justice and protection are greater than anything that comes against me.

Keep me, O Lord.
Guide me, O Lord.
Protect me, O Lord.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

A simpler breath prayer would be ” Lord, keep (insert name) from the hands of the wicked. Guide (insert name) path – Amen
