Reflection: Now is the Time
Lent begins not with a leisurely journey, but with a call to immediate action. Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 5:20–6:10 are often read on Ash Wednesday because they highlight the critical need to turn toward God today, not tomorrow.
The phrase “now is the day of salvation” breaks through our procrastination and excuses. It calls us to stop treating sin lightly and to embrace the urgent, life-changing reconciliation God offers through Jesus.
As ambassadors for Christ, we are called to embody this reconciliation, not just talk about it.
Reflect on areas where you are distant from God or others and take steps toward reconciliation this week.
Consider how your daily actions, words, and attitudes represent Christ to the world.
Lord, thank you for reconciling us to yourself through Jesus. As I enter this Lenten season, reawaken in me an urgency to turn from my sins and to live as your faithful ambassador. May I walk in the righteousness you have gifted me. Amen.
