The New Thing in the New Year

Scripture -Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

What is it that we need to let go of that we have been carrying around, even clutching on to it like we are afraid to lose it and never see it again. Is this thing that you have been holding close a good and Godly thing or is it something that has good intention of ruining your soul. Why are some things so hard to let go off?

In this New Year I am holding on to the promise of God from Isaiah 43:19 of the new thing that spring forth from God. This new thing, as we allow it to replace those things not of God. Can we allow God’s peace to replace our anguish, divine favor to replace our earthly inadequacies, faith to replace doubt, and hope to replace desperation. The answer to this is Yes ! The answer to this is supplied through the goodness of God at work in our lives and in our souls. But are we receiving it?

My hope for 2025 is to allow God to fulfill the promises that has been made to me and all of humanity. To seek out God in secure and obscure places of my life and experience all that God has in store for me. I’m making no resolution other than to be faithful. What about you?
