Too Much to Do? Feeling Alone? Drowning? In it all Jesus is with You.

Passing Through Trials

Key Verse: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” (Isaiah 43:2)

It is Monday, a new week, with many things to do. This week is a full week for me. It is not like I didn’t know, because every second week of the month is a full week. I have a couple extra meetings, a few extra things that need attention. I am already hesitant to step into everything that needs done.

I know that I’m not alone in this. That becomes one of the important things to realize, that in our struggles we are not alone. There are others going through struggles and have more on their agenda than is desired. It is sometimes difficult not to become conceited and realize we are not the only one that others are going through situations of their own. As we go through deep waters, be reminded of the need for intercessory prayer. A time of prayer not only for our own needs but the needs of others. How can we engage and be part of a community that prays for each other?

God’s promise is not that we will avoid trials, but that God will be with us. Jesus experienced trials too—rejection, suffering, and death—and through His resurrection, He walks with us through our struggles.

Are you facing deep waters today? Remember that Jesus is with you. Reflect on how His presence brings hope in trials.

Are we spending too much time on worldly things that are adding to our being overwhelmed.
